Exile and Empire Course
Living faithfully in a world shaped by empire
An 8‑Week Online Course with Peter McDowell
Tuesdays from 6 October · 7:30–9:00 pm (British Time)
We live in a culture formed by powerful economic, political and consumer forces — a modern empire that shapes our desires, fears, choices and imaginations. Many of us feel the tension of trying to live faithfully within this system, longing for a different way.
This 8‑week course explores the themes of exile, empire, and faithful living, drawing on Peter McDowell’s book Exile and Empire. You do not need to have read the book to take part.
